Presented by Marco Scapagnini

We believe that the best way to appreciate a bottle of wine is by discovering the story and the passion of the people who have produced it. The energy, the knowledge, the emotions, the effort that were put into making that wine add to it  peculiar taste that truly makes it unique.

Furthermore, we believe that the more we know about wine, the better it is. To approach a wine from a more technical point of view, surely helps to enjoy it at its maximum, in all its different aspects. To know how to taste it, to serve it, and to pair it, it’s key to have the best experience of it.

That is why we have designed The Italian Selection as a digital space where to explore and deepen the interest for the Italian wine world and lifestyle all-round. And, of course, for this enchanting journey we have selected the best guide: Marco Scapagnini. Enthusiastic ambassador of authentic Italian food, wine and tourism, Marco is an expert tour operator and a food and wine journalist who focuses on Italian regional specialties. He has spent the last decade between Italy, especially Sicily, and the United States, consulting and also writing for top food and travel magazines.

Led by Marco’s enthusiasm and knowledge, The Italian Selection Members will be virtually taken behind the scenes of winemaking, to the discovery of original, genuine, centuries long stories of passion and wine. They will be wandering around Italian authentic and off-the-maps locations and areas, enjoying the world’s most envied lifestyle.

On a more technical side, Marco will lead engaging wine tasting sessions alongside the wine producers, to get to know and truly appreciate every aspect of each bottle and to be able to enhance it at its best.

Marco Scapagnini
Wine & Wineries US Ambassador

For long time I have been involved in representing Italian excellence in the USA, telling the stories of wineries, their places and families. I have noticed that in recent years the interest has increased in the quest for small quality wineries, unique and unobtainable, where those who are lucky enough to drink their wine feel truly special.
